Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Officially Set to Launch on November 10

modern warfare 3 officially set to launch on november 10

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Everything you need to know

The creators of Modern Warfare 3 have dropped a hint about the revival of slide canceling in a rather unexpected manner. There have been numerous leaks circulating about the anticipated Call of Duty game for 2023, which is speculated to be Modern Warfare 3.

According to reports from the last month, there's talk of the Ninja Perk and the classic minimap making a comeback, complete with those familiar red dots. The return of War Mode is also rumored. As the game's release date approaches, the developers are slowly confirming certain elements of Modern Warfare 3.

They've already disclosed that all the Bundles, Operators, and weapons from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be carried over to the new title. Now, they're dropping subtle hints that suggest slide canceling might be making a return as well.

Modern Warfare 3 Release Date

Modern Warfare 3 is confirmed by Activision to potentially launch on November 10, 2023, although this date remains subject to change. The game is highly anticipated and expected to be available on multiple platforms such as PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Developers of Modern Warfare 3 Drop Hint about Slide Cancel's Comeback

On August 6th, a group of well-known Warzone professional players and content creators received a mysterious package from the developers of Modern Warfare 3. The package hinted at the return of slide canceling and contained a pair of slides, a can, and a cell phone.

Individually, these items might not make much sense, but when combined, they spell out "slide cancel." Following this, enigmatic text messages were sent to the provided phone. One of these messages, which was read aloud by Tyler "TeeP" Polchow, said, "I was barely able to get out of the prison. No time to explain. Use these items to prepare for what's to come."

The potential return of slide canceling has generated predominantly positive reactions from the Call of Duty community. After its absence in MW2, fans have been eagerly hoping for its reappearance, especially within the context of Warzone.

The potential reintroduction of slide canceling in Warzone 2 might be tied to the release of Modern Warfare 3

Confirmation has arisen that Modern Warfare 3 will feature slide canceling right from its initial release, a detail made evident by a clear hint. This development could potentially signify the revival of the same mechanic in Warzone 2.

In contrast to Modern Warfare 2, which didn't have its own new Battle Royale game, Modern Warfare 3 will be integrating with the existing version of Warzone. A new map, reportedly named 'Las Almas,' will be introduced alongside MW3.

The integration of MW3 with WZ2 implies a shared gameplay foundation between the two games. Given that slide canceling will be present in Modern Warfare 3, it's reasonable to expect that this mechanic could also extend to WZ2. This would likely also result in its return to Modern Warfare 2.

While slide canceling was initially part of MW2's development but was subsequently removed before launch, fans' pleas for its return went unanswered. However, if the plan to synchronize gameplay mechanics between Modern Warfare 3 and WZ2 becomes a reality, it becomes quite likely that Modern Warfare 2 will also witness the comeback of this technique.

Consequently, if the movement mechanic does reappear in MW3 and gets shared with the battle royale realm, it's logical to anticipate its return to both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

When will the unveiling of Modern Warfare 3 take place?

The introduction of Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled to occur within Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5. In this in-game event, players will need to align with the Shadow Company to prevent a chemical weapon danger before it becomes critical.

A dependable source for leaks, HeyImAlaix, has indicated that the official unveiling is set for Thursday, August 17. Leaked visuals exhibit a statement that says, "Make sure not to overlook the global debut of Modern Warfare III. Happening on August 17 in Warzone."
