Starting from July 25 through August 7, gamers in India will have a golden
opportunity to snag the coveted PlayStation 5 at a discounted price of Rs
47,490 down from the current retail price of Rs 54,990. This attractive flat
discount of Rs 7,500 applies exclusively to the standard disc edition of the
PS5, while the digital edition remains unaffected by the price cut as of
now.
Sony has thoughtfully extended this limited period offer to select
participating retailers, including well-known names like Amazon, Flipkart,
Shopatsc, Reliance, Croma, and Vijay Sales. It's worth noting that Sony had
raised the price of the PlayStation 5 in certain global markets, including
India, earlier due to challenging economic conditions, citing high global
inflation rates and unfavorable currency trends.
The PS5 with a disc-drive was revised to Rs 54,990, and the digital edition
to Rs 39,990. However, in April, the company had offered a temporary
discount of Rs 5,000 on both versions of the console. With this fresh price
cut, Sony is now offering its flagship gaming console at a lower price than
its original launch price, making it an enticing opportunity for gaming
enthusiasts.
